FAQs
Do I need to have a diagnosis?
No, not at all. Many of the women I work with are simply noticing changes in how they feel—such as increased anxiety, overwhelm, or not feeling like themselves. You don’t need a diagnosis to get support.
I’m not sure if this is right for me—can I still get in touch?
Yes. It’s very common to feel unsure at this stage. You’re welcome to get in touch with any questions, or to share a little about what’s been going on, and we can explore whether this feels like the right fit for you.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people find a few sessions helpful to gain clarity and tools, while others prefer longer-term support. We can discuss what feels right for you, and there’s no obligation to commit to a set number of sessions. Many people find it helpful to start with a small number of sessions to build momentum and begin to see change.
Are sessions online or in person?
Sessions are online allowing you the convenience of support from the comfort of your own home. I offer in-person sessions available in the Norwich area.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to explore what’s been going on for you and what you’d like support with. We’ll look at your current experiences, lifestyle, and patterns in a gentle, supportive way, helping you begin to make sense of what’s happening. From there, we can start to shape a plan for moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
What is your background and training?
I have a background in genetics (doctoral degree) and psychology (MSc), along with training in Lifestyle Medicine (BSLM) and CBT hypnotherapy (near completion). I also draw on a range of integrative, mind–body approaches, including mindfulness, meditation, and holistic therapies, to support both mental and physical wellbeing.
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
That’s more common than you might think. Different approaches work for different people, and timing also plays a role. Sometimes it’s also about finding someone you feel comfortable with. If it feels helpful, you’re very welcome to get in touch or arrange a short introductory call to see whether it feels like the right fit for you.
Is this suitable for more severe mental health difficulties?
I work with mild to moderate anxiety and related experiences. If I feel that a different type of support would be more appropriate for you, I will always guide you towards the right help.
How quickly will I feel better?
Everyone’s experience is different, but many people begin to feel a sense of relief simply from understanding what’s happening and having space to talk. Meaningful change often takes place over a number of sessions, giving you time to build understanding, develop tools, and begin to feel more calm, steady, and in control.
What is your availability?
I'm currently workingTuesday to Thursdays 9.30am to 2pm during term time.
How much do sessions cost?
Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £60.
Packages of 4 sessions are available at £200.
